Good Shepherd swim team manages to break a record before it starts racing, Showing real talent Good Shepherd Lutheran College Noosa has sent a record team of 19 students to the Queensland School Sport
State Swimming Championships held recently in Brisbane. The championships are for the top swimmers from ages 10 to 19 from both state and independent schools from across Queensland.
Twenty students from Good Shepherd qualified for the state championships, with 19 attending and taking part in a total of 103 events over three days.
The school said it could not be prouder of the team’s preparation and its efforts in what is a tough sport to even
qualify for this event. Based on current listings, this is the most students and event entries from one school in the whole of the Sunshine Coast Region. “This is an impressive representation from one school at this level of competition,” principal Anthony Dyer said.“The result is testament to the dedication of the students and parents.”
A host of college swimmers had earlier made the grade to swim at the regional swim meet.
